City Recycling Programs

Most cities have recycling services similar to their garbage pick up. Here in Los Angeles, there is a weekly pick up of common recyclable materials once a week. Check with your local providers to see what is available in your neighborhood.

The most common items to recycle are paper products -like cardboard, newspaper, magazines- plastic and glass. Make sure the items you put in the bin match those descriptions given by your recycling center.

And remember to clean all the recyclable items before putting them in the bin. If you send out dirty papers, plastics, etc. They will just be thrown away and become garbage after all.
