Fitness and looking fit is very important to me. I've been actively involved in some sort of aerobic activity all my life. Exercising helps to give me energy to keep up with my hectic life.

I started taking dance lessons when I was a kid and I just loved it. It was a great way to build up strength, endurance and flexibility - plus I got to wear those cool leg warmers. I still take dance lessons today, and it's a really fun way to work out and sometimes it doesn't even feel like exercising at all.

When I was a teenager I injured my knee pretty badly. It was then that I started doing Pilates. With its isometric exercises using spring tension apparatuses, Pilates was a great way to help rebuild the strength in my leg and still get the flexibility training that I used to get from dancing.

After the injury healed, I stuck with Pilates and ended up becoming an instructor. I saw how Pilates really changed my body and made it stronger and leaner, so I've stuck with it ever since. And when it comes to time and effort, Pilates is the most bang for your buck. After just a few sessions your body really responds to the exercises, and you can literally do it until you die. Most other exercises are too hard on an aging body, but Pilates is one of the few work out plans that can continue as you grow older.

I even have my own Pilates equipment in my home studio. I still teach there, and use it myself about 2 to 3 times a week. Each session lasts about an hour, and is a great way to keep my strength up.

Along with the Pilates and dance, I also like to take yoga lessons and hike through all the nearby trails. All this exercising and looking fit takes hard work, but anyone who's willing to put in all the effort can be fit.
